We want to hire apprentices. We provide our apprentices with guidance and support from management who have 30+ years in the industry. Recognized as a "go-to" in our field, we pass our team's knowledge on repair and maintenance. At Bear Creek Maintenance, we are committed to training and developing the skills of our apprentices. We provide the essential training necessary to help you excel in your career in the form of 1-on-1 skill assessment, skill-building for success in your career, paid work, and support in furthering your education. Bear Creek Maintenance also offers a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment. You will get to use the skills and knowledge from your in-class training with practical hands-on experience.
get your hands dirty troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect issues
learn how to diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized testing
learn how us old guys learned to diagnose through sound, smell and touch
interpret Operator speak into a diagnosis
adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
test repaired equipment for proper performance
meet and exceed manufacturers specifications and customers expectations
clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
the right mindset to be a technician, including a strong work ethic and how to be a team player
apprentices must be willing to learn and work within their scope
strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions
the ability to communicate courteously and professionally with team members and customers
the capacity to use computer diagnostic tools, send/receive emails, research methods online and follow instructions
reading and writing skills. We aren't looking for Shakespeare, but it would be helpful if we didn't need a pharmacist to read your writing.
good time management-time is money for our clients. The more time in the shop, the less the equipment is in the field making money.
Completed 1st or 2nd year Heavy Equipment Technician schooling
We know your worth, and your pay will reflect your experience.
